Her career, in addition to her extremely successful work in law practice, service on supervisory boards, and judicial expertise, also includes leading important state institutions and holding executive positions in the economy (from major companies to chairing the National Review Commission for Reviewing Public Procurement Procedures, the Ministry of Justice, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana, the Higher Court in Ljubljana, and the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Ljubljana), as well as active participation in the preparation of legislation.
Today, together with Veronika Cukrov, she leads Cukrov Law Firm, focusing primarily on public procurement, real estate, commercial and competition law, as well as litigation. She is a frequent lecturer and author of numerous articles across fields including pharmaceuticals, energy, and more.

PhD candidate in Energy Law and Master of Laws, she graduated and completed her LL.M. at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. She is a member of the Strategic Council of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, appointed by the Prime Minister on November 30, 2022.

As the former Editor-in-Chief of the Law Faculty’s legal journal and president of the Faculty’s law society, she left a strong mark in the academic sphere as well. She has worked with the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Manager Association, has been a columnist for Delo newspaper, published numerous legal articles, and lectured extensively.
Today, as COO of Cukrov Law Firm, Veronika combines extensive experience in commercial, civil, real estate, energy, and constitutional law.
